Pinnacle Awards

Pinnacle Awards

One of the most prestigious awards in furniture design, Pinnacle Awards were created in April 1995 by ASFD. The purpose was to recognize, promote and encourage the best in furniture design within the retail home furnishings industry. These awards focus on excellence in furniture and home furnishings design that is created for mass consumption, not limited editions or one of a kind craft products.

In 2010 the Green Leaf Award was added for products that meet the standard for an eco-friendly profile. Products belonging to any of the 15 categories may be entered to compete for the Green Leaf Award.

According to ASFD president, Dudley Moore: «The Pinnacle Awards provide our industry the opportunity to recognize the work of talented designers. For almost 17 years they have been the preeminent way to honor individuals and companies who create, support and encourage originality of thought and design innovation.»

Pinnacle Award winners will be announced at the Fall High Point Furniture Market on October 15, 2012. Meanwhile, finalists for the awards were announced after Pinnacle judges met at High Point University’s Norton Hall to finish their selection process.
